Patient Participation Group(PPG)
The Greenbank Surgery Patient Participation Group was developed to encourage patients to be involved in their own healthcare and to contribute to the continuous improvement in services. The PPG has been established since 2006.
All patients are welcome to join and new patients are given the opportunity to join the group when they register with us via the New Patient Questionnaire form. The Surgery has a register of all PPG members and all members are given a copy of the “Code of Conduct” and the PPG Constitution.
The PPG meets quarterly with meetings currently being held in the afternoon as mornings and evenings were unpopular with the current patient group population. The times of the meetings are open to review as we are keen to encorporate a wide selection of patients.
The PPG has a Chairperson, who organises agendas and record minutes of each meeting and liaise with other members. Each meeting is attended by at least one member of the Management Team and GP if required.
The Surgery has a dedicated PPG notice board situated in the main waiting area.
If you are a patient of the surgery and are interested in finding out more about joining the PPG, please telephone the surgery or e-mail warccg.greenbankmc@nhs.net
